CCTV & Security Cameras

Cameras that don't phone home to somewhere you can't see.

Consumer cloud cameras have a patchy track record on data privacy, and a lot of budget CCTV hardware comes from manufacturers with known government supply-chain restrictions overseas. We build primarily on Ubiquiti UniFi Protect — an NDAA-compliant manufacturer — recorded locally with no cloud subscription, with AI-powered detection that actually cuts down false alerts instead of adding to them.

You should know where your footage actually goes

Two separate issues get lumped together as "cheap cameras" and they're not the same thing. One is data privacy — several well-known consumer cloud-camera brands have had serious, publicly reported incidents around footage or thumbnails leaving the home without clear consent. The other is supply chain — a number of CCTV manufacturers are subject to government procurement restrictions overseas (the US NDAA list) due to national security concerns, and their hardware still floods the budget end of the local market under various rebadged names.

Our default recommendation is Ubiquiti UniFi Protect — an NDAA-compliant manufacturer, footage recorded locally to your own NVR rather than a subscription-gated cloud, with AI-powered detection that tells the difference between a person, a vehicle, and a moving shadow.

Consumer cloud cams vs. UniFi Protect

Both put a camera on your wall. Where the footage goes, and who made the hardware, is where it actually matters.

Budget & Consumer Cloud Systems
Supply-chain uncertainty A number of budget CCTV manufacturers are subject to overseas government procurement restrictions over national security concerns.
Cloud-only storage Footage locked behind an ongoing subscription just to keep recording.
Patchy privacy track record Several well-known consumer camera brands have had public incidents involving footage leaving the home without clear consent.
Basic motion detection Every moving shadow or passing car triggers the same alert.
UniFi Protect (Our Default)
NDAA-compliant Ubiquiti hardware, not subject to the same government supply-chain restrictions as several budget brands.
Local NVR storage Footage recorded on your own hardware, on-site — no monthly fee to keep recording.
One unified platform Cameras, network gear, and access control all in the same UniFi ecosystem.
AI-powered smart detection Distinguishes people, vehicles, and animals — fewer false alerts, notifications worth reading.

Built on one platform, not a pile of mismatched gear

From a single driveway camera to a full commercial fit-out, every install uses the same known ecosystem.

Retrofit & Integration

Existing cameras that still work can often be integrated via ONVIF into a new UniFi Protect system rather than replaced outright.

No Unnecessary Replacement

Full-Stack Network & CCTV Migration

Commercial UniFi Protect CCTV Uniview Integration via ONVIF

A local trade business had a handful of existing Uniview cameras with no integration into the wider network. Rather than replacing hardware that still worked, we integrated them via ONVIF into a new UniFi Protect system alongside new UniFi G6 cameras and a UNVR — unifying everything into one local, subscription-free platform.
